The founder of Circle tweeted a screenshot of an obvious $100 buying of Bitcoin, accepting the service well ahead of its real rollout date.
There has been notable enthusiasm in the business since PayPal published its plan to join the cryptocurrency market last week. The rollout of its latest crypto services — allowing both crypto payments and direct, in-app buying of crypto — has been formally set for early 2021.

The founder of crypto payments company Circle, Jeremy Allaire, alleged to have used the PayPal application to purchase $100 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) on Oct. 28, tweeting a screenshot of the clear transaction.
Allaire didn't explain how he had entered the service prior to its formal rollout, nor define whether he had a commercial agreement with PayPal to use and promote the expected service. PayPal has not answered that question either.
As earlier stated, PayPal’s crypto functionality will help Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), besides Bitcoin. Transactions, while started in crypto, will be completed with the site’s related retailers in their local fiat currency.
PayPal had more than 346 million live accounts and processed $222 billion in volume as of Q2 2020. Crypto payments will be held by its valued network of 26 million merchants around the world as of 2021.
