According to the International Council on Clean Transport, passenger aviation emitted an average of 90 grams of CO2 per passenger kilometer in 2019. To offset these emissions, NFTCar offers a flight emissions calculator which calculates the number of NFTs required to offset the carbon emissions of a flight. The calculator takes into consideration the distance traveled by air and the average of 90g of CO2 per kilometer and converts the CO2 emissions to NFTCar NFTs, where one NFT is equivalent to the removal of 1.25 tons of CO2.
